Casa de Campo Resort & Villas offers visitors a wide range of activities and amenities, from golf and water sports to fine dining and relaxation. With so much to do and see, deciding how to spend your time during your stay can be challenging. That’s why we’ve put together an ideal five-day itinerary to help you make the most of your Dominican Republic vacation.
Arrival Day 1: Arrive and Unwind
After arriving at the resort and checking in, take some time to relax and rest from your trip. You can take a power nap in your room and then go to the pool and enjoy a refreshing tropical drink. When the sun goes down, head to one of the resort’s many restaurants for dinner. You’ll have plenty of options to choose from, including La Caña, La Piazzetta, and Causa.
Day 2: Tee Time, Horseback riding, and Sunset
Start your day by hitting the links at one of our three championship golf courses. Teeth of the Dog is the most famous, but you can choose to play at The Links or Dye Fore courses for an equally amazing golfing experience. After golfing, take a horseback riding tour of the resort’s lush countryside. Finally, take a sunset catamaran cruise, where you can take in stunning views of the Caribbean Sea while enjoying drinks and snacks.
Day 3: Day Trip to Saona Island and Altos de Chavón Stroll
Saona Island is one of the most beautiful destinations in the Dominican Republic, known for its stunning beaches and crystal-clear waters. The island is a protected nature reserve, making it an ideal place for swimming, snorkeling, and soaking up the sun. In the afternoon, head to Altos de Chavón, a replica of a 16th-century Mediterranean village with shops, galleries, and restaurants. You can explore the village, shop for souvenirs, and take in the beautiful architecture. The amphitheater hosts a variety of events throughout the year, including concerts, dances, and theatrical productions, so make sure to check out Chavon’s schedule to attend a live performance.
Day 4: Tennis, Spa, and Marina
Book a tennis lesson with a professional instructor at the Tennis Center, which has 13 tennis courts, including clay, grass, as well as two paddle courts. You can also participate in organized tournaments or play doubles with friends. After the game, indulge at our renewed world-class spa, which offers a variety of innovative treatments, including full-body massages, detox treatments, and immersive auditive journeys. In the evening, head to the Marina, which features exclusive restaurants, bars, and shops.
Day 5: Sports and Minitas Beach
Casa de Campo offers many sports activities such as kayaking, paddleboarding, or fishing. Let yourself be surprised by a sport you never practiced before. You can also take a scenic nature walk in the resort’s ecological reserve, which covers over 1,500 acres and is home to several endemic and native animals and plants. End your final day with a romantic dinner at Minitas Beach Club, where you can dine on fresh seafood while listening to the sound of the waves crashing on the shore.
