Casa de Campo Golf Learning Center

HOW DID YOUR CASA DE CAMPO STORY BEGIN?

My story at Casa de Campo began in 2010.The company was looking for a new upgrade in golf instruction and Jim McLean, where I was currently teaching, was the leading golf school in the world. The Jim McLean name lived strong here in Casa de Campo for 5 great years.

WHAT ABOUT THE STORY OF THE GOLF LEARNING CENTER? HOW DID YOU FIRST BECOME INVOLVED WITH THAT?

The Learning Center was a project that had been talked about for many years. Fortunately, with the edition of the new driving range, the project was finally approved. The Learning Center is one of a kind thanks to our administration here. We opened in March 2018 and we are fully outfitted with 2 Trackman Studio Bays.

WHAT IS THE MOST REWARDING THING ABOUT YOUR ROLE AT THE CENTER?

The most rewarding thing about the Learning Center is first seeing people’s jaws drop at their first glance. Many people are so excited to see the state-of-the-art technology. It’s one of Casa de Campo’s greatest editions. For me as a golf pro, I love the reward of seeing such great improvement from my students. Now we can track the performance of each student, and immediately show them the improvement with video. Most importantly, my students see the results on the course. Which is so gratifying for me.

WHAT IS YOUR FAVORITE MOMENT IN THE GOLF LEARNING CENTER EXPERIENCE?

It would have to be playing various top golf courses of the world in the Trackman Virtual Simulator. We drop down the net and load a course. It’s great fun and is a fantastic opportunity to practice your game while bonding with friends and family. For a great price you can rent out a bay and play top courses such as St. Andrews or Congressional. We have over 30 courses to play and we also have 6 par 3 courses that are fun.

WHAT IS THE ONE SINGLE THING YOU WISH MORE PEOPLE UNDERSTOOD ABOUT THE GOLF LEARNING CENTER?

The technology is advanced, but I wish people would understand that there is nothing to be intimidated or scared about for the average golfer. If you are a player that is looking to improve your game, I can guarantee the Learning Center is the place to come visit.
