Altos de ChavÓn
Altos de Chavón is a replica of a 16th-century Mediterranean village located in La Romana, Dominican Republic. It features cobblestone streets, artisanal shops, galleries, restaurants, and an iconic amphitheater.
Altos de Chavón is typically open daily from 9 a.m. to 6 p.m. However, hours may vary per business hours of the various establishments, for special events or concerts in the amphitheater. Please note that access is limited to hotel guests, residents, and their guests, as well as scheduled photoshoots and educational visits to the Museum.

Guests can explore the art gallery, which holds multiple exhibitions from local and international artists, the Archaeological Museum, shop for handmade crafts, dine at any of the multiple restaurants, visit the Church of St. Stanislaus, take in stunning views of the Chavón River, and attend concerts at the amphitheater. Every month, there’s a very lively market where you can purchase crafts from local artisans, international food, gifts, and more. The church holds Catholic mass every Saturday and Sunday.
Absolutely. Altos de Chavón is a popular venue for weddings, private celebrations, and corporate events, especially in the church and amphitheater. Contact Casa de Campo’s events team for more details.
While there’s not a specific dress code to visit Altos de Chavón, some of the restaurants may enforce a specific dress code or attire. If you visit during the day, please make sure you wear light and fresh clothes as the sun is shining bright all the time here! Also, remember to wear comfortable walking shoes; leave the stilettos at home!
Resort guests can drive their golf cart from their room or villa to Altos de Chavón and park at any of the many available parking spaces. Please be patient, it’s a 20-25 minute drive from the resort’s main area, take in the beautiful outdoors while you’re at it. Guests can also take one of the nightly shuttles departing from the lobby to the La Piazzetta parking lot.
Concert goers without a stay in Casa de Campo need to show their ticket at the entrance of the property and again to enter the amphitheater. Please look for the designated special entrance for this type of visitor, which will be marked.

Resort guests can drive their golf cart from their room or villa to Altos de Chavón and park at any of the many available parking spaces.
