Celebrating 50 Years of Luxury and History at Our Exclusive Resort

Fifty years ago, Casa de Campo began as an island retreat for the leadership of Gulf + Western Industries, the owners of Paramount Pictures. Today, it stands as the premier resort in the Dominican Republic and one of the most legendary destinations in the Caribbean.

From Frank Sinatra’s iconic opening performance at the Altos de Chavon amphitheater in 1982 to Arnold Palmer’s 1974 visit, Casa de Campo has been making history for half a century. The creative contributions of Oscar de la Renta and the world-renowned golf courses designed by Pete Dye also give the exclusive resort its distinctive, luxury atmosphere.

In recent years, Casa de Campo has surged in popularity, becoming one of the hottest destinations in the region. The resort has made significant additions, including a brand-new, 18,000-square-foot wellness destination and the opening of the Premier Club, a luxurious 58-suite resort-within-a-resort concept.

To mark our 50th anniversary, Casa de Campo is hosting a series of special events and packages. The 50th Anniversary Weekend from October 24-27 will kick off the celebrations. This event features a “Generation Concert of the Century” with Grammy-award winners, a beach concert at Minitas Beach, and a $50,000 hole-in-one golf competition. The 50th anniversary festivities will also include a tribute to Frank Sinatra, who helped turn the best Caribbean resort’s amphitheater into a premier music destination.

Whether you join us for the celebrations, or simply to enjoy a Caribbean vacation, you can experience the property’s new wellness center, Premier Club, and countless activities at Casa de Campo this fall.
