Each one of our activities will be held in line with health protocols from our Casa Cares program, keeping with the social distancing when attending our limited events, the use of hand sanitizer in all areas, and masks.

Christmas Tree Lighting Ceremony – December 4, 2020

The beginning

The most wonderful time of the year will kick off with our traditional Christmas tree lighting in Altos de Chavon on Friday, December 4^th.  It will be live streaming with a Christmas concert by the Chamber orchestra lead by Juan Pablo Polanco and the Batuta Group for everyone to see at the monumental amphitheater. After the event, the tree will be displayed on the Chavon Plaza along with all the lights and décor for the entire season, live music, and more.

Catholic Masses

Catholic Masses will be celebrated in three different locations to comply with the physical distancing protocols, on some specific dates. Please take a moment to review the schedule below.

Events for everyone

The following events will be part of the program in the month of December:

Mariachi nights, friendly sports competitions, Drive-in movie nights, Golf Cart Christmas decorating contest, Rum and cigar pairing event, Bossa nova sunset nights at Minitas beach, Flamenco show at la Marina, Masses at the Altos de Chavon Church, and the end of the year fireworks show.

Christmas Eve dinner specials will be offered at each of the resort’s eight restaurants, the Chilango Taqueria, La Cana Rest in the hotel main area, La Casita Rest in la Marina, and Minitas Beach Club, which serves Mediterranean cuisine overlooking the Caribbean Sea.
