Equestrian
Casa de Campo Resort and Villas’ extensive equestrian center is among the best in the Caribbean. And if you’ve never saddled up before, our expert staff is on hand for lessons in English or Western-style riding and jumping, and even grooming techniques and rodeo stunts.
Private guides are available for individual or group trail rides on two of our cattle ranches. Enjoy a leisurely ride through herds of water buffalo, lakes teeming with ducks and local fauna, sugar cane fields, and our on-site horse-breeding operation.
The Equestrian and Polo are directed by Fernando Arata, originally from Argentina, a professional polo player with ample experience in the field.
Riding Lessons
Basic riding lessons are available for beginners of all ages. Riders 6 years and older, may ride by themselves. Our professionals can transform you from a beginner to an experienced rider.
You can reserve lessons when booking your stay, or the concierge will gladly arrange lessons upon your arrival.
Horse Jumping
The best golf games are played on the best courses and you can play on the breathtaking Dye Fore and/or Links, Casa de Campo‘s award-winning courses designed by Pete Dye. Donkey Polo
Taste the sweet victory of a championship polo player, even if you’ve never been on a horse before. All it takes is a cowboy spirit, the basic rules of polo, and a herd of Casa de Campo’s very own Dominican burrows. Families of all ages, corporate sales executives and CEOs, and everybody in between, all compete on an equal playing field in this highly competitive and entertaining sport.
We will supply the donkeys, the event staff, a sound system and microphone, and all you need to bring is a sense of team spirit and fun. This activity is ideal for groups and corporate events, from families, teammates, and wedding parties will treasure the laughter and fun memories forever.
Rancho Peligro Tour
Horseback Tour
Enjoy this off-property trail ride to Rancho Peligro. On this tour, our guests will have the opportunity to see firsthand our cowboys working with the cattle and horse herds as they ride through scenic cane fields, open pastures, and lagoons.
