Aquiles Azar — Siempre Dibujos

We are pleased to invite you to the opening of the exhibition “Aquiles Azar — Always Drawings,” presented by gallerist and curator Mildred Canahuate, at the Altos de Chavón Art Gallery.

The exhibition brings together a representative selection of drawings by the master Aquiles Azar García, created over more than five decades of his artistic career. Through recurring themes such as still lifes, everyday objects, portraits, and abstract compositions, the exhibition reveals a versatile, sensitive, and innovative creator, always faithful to drawing as his primary means of expression.

Ten years after his passing, this exhibition pays tribute to his artistic legacy, highlighting especially his abstract works developed from 1996 onward, characterized by the gestural power of the line, the richness of textures, and the artist’s technical mastery.
