HOW DID YOUR STORY AT CASA DE CAMPO BEGIN? 

After graduating with a Bachelor Degree in Hospitality Management from Florida International University (FIU), I was fortunate to start my career with Marriott Hotels, where the thriving culture and core values were planted in my work ethic. After acquiring more experience in the industry, I started working with Casa de Campo Resort & Villas back in June 2011, based out of Chicago, with the main goal to develop several Sales segments in the Midwest, West Coast, Texas, and Northeast & Canada.

WHAT IS THE MOST REWARDING THING ABOUT YOUR ROLE AS SENIOR DIRECTOR OF GROUP SALES? 

One the most gratifying aspects of my job is the opportunity to interact with an array of clients and to forge relationships with a diverse group of people. It is so invigorating to receive a call or a note from a client saying that their program was successful, that Casa de Campo exceeded their expectations, and that they are looking forward to come back. I am truly passionate about this profession and enjoy the art of the sales process.

WHAT STRATEGIES DO YOU FOLLOW TO TREAT EACH OF YOUR CLIENTS INS A TRULY PERSONALIZED WAY? 

It is essential to engage with clients in a personal level. I focus in asking questions and listening to each client specific requirements and expectations, in order to provide a tailored experience and anticipate their needs. Furthermore, by using the right terms, showing immediate actions and solutions, and treating everyone as a VIP, I am able to ensure a personalized experience to clients.

IN YOUR OPINION, WHAT MAKES CASA DE CAMPO RESORT & VILLAS A GREAT LOCATION FOR GROUPS AND MEETINGS?

HOW DO YOU SELL CASA DE CAMPO RESORT & VILLAS TO YOUR GUESTS AND, IN GENERAL TERMS, THE DOMINICAN REPUBLIC AS A DESTINATION? 

Casa de Campo is very different from other properties and sometimes might be difficult for some clients to comprehend the product without experiencing it. I present the property as an exclusive enclave within a destination and focus on emphasizing the unique amenities that are offered to groups that are not available within a standard resort. It is all about providing clients with the emotion of the ideal vacation and translating how Casa de Campo will deliver wonderful memories that will last a lifetime.

TELL US, ESPECIALLY FOR GROUP CLIENTS, WHICH IMPROVEMENTS CASA DE CAMPO RESORT & VILLAS HAS MADE IN THE RECENT YEARS. 

In the past few years, the group demands have increased enormously in Casa de Campo Resort & Villas, therefore leading to many expansions and implementations to support that growth. New Sales & Marketing strategies as well as operational tactics have been implemented to convey group’s requirements. The need for more rooms, meeting spaces and venues to accommodate larger groups is one of the factors that led to the renovation of the original Lodge rooms transforming them into the contemporary and completely remodeled Superior Casita, the construction of the new Marina Riverside Center, opening of new venues such as Casa del Rio, and several updates of other venues and sport facilities.
