At Casa de Campo, the world beneath the waves is every bit as lively as the one above. The Caribbean Sea is positively teeming with sea life just waiting to be observed. Snorkel in the calm, sheltered waters off Minitas Beach, or venture further offshore on an excursion to explore the pristine nearby islands of Catalina and Saona. But no matter where you decide to explore, the crystal clear waters and colorful reefs are bound to pique your interest.

With both the Caribbean Sea and the Chavón River at our doorstep, kayakers will find plenty of places to explore. Paddle just off Minitas Beach for spectacular seaside views and to catch a glimpse of some of the creatures that call these waters home.

For something different, take a trip up the Chavón River to explore the natural beauty of the Dominican countryside, including spectacular views of Altos de Chavón. With both single and double kayaks available, paddlers from novice to expert can enjoy this peaceful and relaxing sport. 10 people maximum. Minimum age is 14 years old. Oil-free sunscreen is recommended. Casual dress and bathing suits are acceptable.

Drive your own two-person motorized catamaran on a guided tour of the beautiful Chavón River, where you can observe nature at its best.

The experience is offered as a half-day activity with two available schedules, from 9:30 a.m. to 11:00 a.m. or from 1:30 p.m. to 3:30 p.m., and lasts approximately one hour and thirty minutes. Beverages, including soft drinks and water, are included to keep you refreshed during the tour. The excursion takes place entirely on the Chavón River, with a maximum cruising speed of 10 knots, ensuring a smooth and enjoyable ride.

The meeting point for the tour is the Marina Casa de Campo, where guests will gather before heading out on the water. Ideal for couples, friends, or families, this experience provides a unique and memorable way to discover one of the Dominican Republic’s most iconic natural settings.

Polo at Casa de Campo

There are few places in the world where you can experience the thrill and the majesty of polo like Casa de Campo. Our polo facilities—which include three playing fields and one practice field—are among the best in the world.

Beginners and experts alike can take advantage of equipment, group instruction, and personalized training. Guests can also hire ponies for stick and ball tournaments, a fantastic and entertaining activity for families. Regular polo matches are played all year long, three days a week, and from January to April, Casa de Campo is home to the most important polo event of the region: Polo Challenge.

The Equestrian and Polo are directed by Fernando Arata, originally from Argentina, a professional polo player with ample experience in the field.
