General Queries

At Casa de Campo Resort and Villas, your safety and wellbeing is always a top priority. We work closely with the Ministry of Public Health and Social Assistance of the Dominican Republic (SESPAS), the Ministry of Tourism in the Dominican Republic (MITUR), and the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) in the United States to ensure we are always up-to-date on current and ongoing health concerns. In addition, in the event of a medical emergency while staying with us, we have a state-of-the-art private hospital on site, staffed with medical professionals available 24/7.

Vaccinations

The Centers for Disease Control recommends ensuring you are up-to-date on routine vaccines before any foreign travel. Hepatitis A and B and typhoid vaccines are recommended for travel to the Caribbean.

Mosquito-borne Diseases

There is a risk of mosquito-borne diseases such as malaria, dengue fever and others in the Dominican Republic. There are antimalarial medications available but there are no medications or vaccinations available for dengue fever. Casa de Campo has strict protocols in place including daily resort-wide insecticide spraying and year-round pest control inspections to proactively protect against mosquitoes. We also recommend that guests use insect repellent and wear long sleeves and pants when possible.

On Site Medical Facilities

Casa de Campo guests have access to 24/7 medical assistance directly in your villa and complimentary transportation to our private hospital in case of emergency. Casa de Campo guests also receive priority attention, and preferred assistance at the hospital including translation services.

Drinking Water

Drinking tap water is not recommended. Casa de Campo offers premium bottled water for all guests.
