Vacations are fun and relaxing, but we bet you’ve never said the words “I just love packing!” Packing for your vacation can be tedious, and even stressful – especially if you don’t know what to bring.

That’s why we’ve created this handy checklist for your Casa de Campo vacation. It makes preparing for vacation a breeze. You’ll be packed and ready to go in no time!

Clothing

Bring casual daytime wear and nicer outfits for evenings. Choose tops and bottoms that can be mixed and matched for a variety of combinations. For a weeklong vacation, bring approximately ten tops and four bottoms.

Select dresses that can be dressed up or down, for day and night wear. Statement jewelry doesn’t take up a lot of room in your suitcase and quickly takes a look from “blah” to “ta-da!”

Bring a light sweater or pashmina as well. Even though it’s warm and sunny in the Dominican Republic, you don’t want to be caught feeling chilly in airports or restaurants.

When packing, choose fabrics that don’t easily wrinkle, to avoid hassle when you unpack. And don’t forget, our villas include complimentary laundry service. That makes it easy to pack lighter for long stays.

Shoes

Shoes take up the most room in your suitcase, so be practical! Bring a casual pair of sandals for the beach, a good pair of walking shoes for exploring sites like Altos de Chavón (where cobblestones can make walking in high heels a challenge), and a versatile pair of dress shoes for evenings. Wear your bulkiest pair of shoes on the airplane to save room.

Fun In The Sun

Bring at least three swimsuits for a weeklong vacation – more, if you plan on hitting the beach or pool every day. Don’t forget to pack sunglasses, a sunhat, sunscreen and a beach cover-up.

Staying Active

There are lots of ways to keep active at Casa de Campo, so plan and pack accordingly. We offer golf, tennis, horseback riding, yoga, and more! Check out all our sports here.

Carry-On Essentials

Pack your carry-on luggage with essentials like medication and toiletries, electronics and a great book. If you can, include one change of clothes in your carry-on luggage in case your checked bag is delayed. It never hurts to be prepared!

Now that you know what to pack, all that’s left is to come join us in paradise! Before you go, download our packing checklist below.
