Why Spring is beautiful at Casa

Long winter? We’ve never heard of that. In the Dominican Republic, temperature variations are minimal—we can always enjoy sunny days and warm nights— but still each season brings something new to admire. Are you ready to stop and smell the flowers at Casa?

Get Active Again

On the third week of April, billfish enthusiasts are invited to participate in the Casa de Campo International Blue Marlin Classic, an all-release tournament where teams compete to catch many kinds of blue and white marlin, spearfish and sailfish typically found in Caribbean waters. For those who prefer to get more physical, sign-ups are now open for Casa de Campo’s first triathlon. The event takes place on May 20th and benefits our Tennis Center’s Ball Boy Foundation. Get swimming, running and biking for this marvelous occasion!

Eat and Drink to Your Heart’s Content

Spring brings many pleasant experiences for the foodies that gather at Casa de Campo. On April 28th, Dominican Republic shop El Catador will be hosting The Wine Tour 2018. This enological extravaganza brings together more than 100 wines from the best cellars in the world. The first stop will be on April 28th at the Casa de Campo Marina, so be prepared to taste excellent sparklings, reds and whites while mingling with like-minded sybarites. The month of May marks the return of Flavors of the World, a culinary experience that takes guests through elaborate banquets made by high-profile chefs from all corners of the world. This season’s first installment will run from May 11 to 13 and features the city of Guadalajara, Mexico, with chef Francisco Ruano of Alcalde Restaurant.

Reconnect with Nature

While you’re here, be sure to check out Casa de Campo’s special tours and excursions for the family. Even if there is plenty of activities inside the resort, the Eastern region of the country is home to some hidden gems such as Las Maravillas Cave, Hacienda Higüeral and Catalina Island. And if you have a soft spot for contemplating nature, just take your golf cart and marvel at the blossoming trees, the perfect balance between sun and breeze, the mesmerizing bird songs, and the peaceful atmosphere found all around the resort.
