Teeth of the Dog Seniors InvitationalNovember 2nd to the 9th, 2008 Dear Friends: We would like to invite you to participate in the Teeth of the Dog Seniors Invitational from November 2nd to the 9th, 2008. Casa de Campo your Caribbean Paradise is the site for this prestigious event and the tournament will be played on Pete Dye world renowned courses Teeth of the Dog, Links and the new Dye Fore at Altos de Chavon. The tournament was totally revamped in 2006 and the comments from the players were the best ever. The tournament packages were upgraded, adding to the packages a transportation cart per room, the oasis carts and bars on the golf courses, special tournament favors and all our banquet menus have been especially created by our Executive Chef. After we received your entry, we will email or fax the schedule of events. Upon checking in at Casa de Campo all participants will receive our special tournament favors, a tournament brochure and a special name tag. All winners’ awards and trophies will be mailed from the States making your trip back home easier. The format for the Championship is a 72-hole stroke play using the Modified Stableford Scoring System. We will have gross and net divisions for both men and ladies so everybody will be able to compete regardless of their skill level. The field will be divided into four age groups for men and women and by handicap within each flight. The La Romana Flight for players 50 to 59 years young, the Santo Domingo Flight for players 60 to 69 years young, the Hispaniola Flight for players 70 to 79 years young and the Casa de Campo Flight for players 80 years young and over. A separate flight will be available for companions of seniors who have not yet reached 50 years young. On Wednesday, we will have a Mixed Championship to be played on the Links. The format will be a Pinehurst. For the net division we will add the handicaps of the two players divide by two and use 70%. The 2008 packages include: deluxe accommodation for 7 nights, one transportation cart per room, breakfast, lunch, dinner daily, beverages in all hotel restaurants and bars including oasis bars and carts on the golf courses during tournament rounds (excluding mini bars in the rooms) unlimited green fees, carts, range balls, club storage, tournament favors, transfer from La Romana Airport, tax and service charge. For three nights before and after the tournament we will have a special daily rate of $198.00us per person, double occupancy including accommodation, one transportation cart, breakfast, lunch, dinner, beverages in hotel restaurants and bars, tax and service charge. The 18 hole special golf rate for the participants arriving early or staying extra days will be $75.00 per person plus 16% tax. The 2008 tournament will run from Saturday to Saturday so you have the opportunity to take the only direct flight on AA from Miami to la Romana Airport. The flight will book quickly so do not wait to make your reservation on flight AA 275. American Eagle also has daily direct flights from San Juan, Puerto Rico. Many airlines including USAir, Spirit and Continental service Santo Domingo Airport which is only a one hour transfer to Casa de Campo. Please reserve your seats as soon as possible.
