Casa de Campo Florida Pro-AmOctober 19 - 23, 2008 Dear Fellow Professionals: Last October the South Florida PGA organized a great event at Casa de Campo. This year, the SFPGA is travelling to Ireland in August, the trip is sold out and I am sure all participants will have a great time. We had such a great response to last year’s event that I would like to invite you again to Casa de Campo for the Florida Pro-Am from October 19–23, 2008. The tournament will be a 54-hole team event played on the Teeth of the Dog, Dye Fore and Links. A team must consist of three amateur golfers (men or women) with an official index and a PGA Golf Professional. The first round will be one net best ball, the second round will be one net and one gross best ball and the final round will be two net best ball. Teams will be divided into flights according to the total team handicap. Prizes will be awarded in each flight plus for overall daily low and for the overall team champion. For the Professional Championship we will use the Stableford point system with a junior and a senior division. Casa de Campo will donate $200.00 per team playing in the tournament toward the professional purse. For bringing a complete team of three amateurs, the professional will receive one complimentary double occupancy package for the entire tournament. If the amateurs are accompanied, your wife or companion will also receive a complimentary stay. Bring your entire team for extra nights and Casa de Campo will extend your complimentary stay. Activities are being planned for people not playing in the pro-am including a one day golf event. On the enclosed flyer you will find the schedule of events, the package and the entry form. You can fax your entry at 809-523-8800 or go to www.casadecampogolfevents.com and register online. A deposit will not be required but all packages will have to be paid by October 1, 2008. Phone entries will not be accepted and the tournament is limited to the first 20 teams to register. You can fly to La Romana Airport / Casa de Campo from Miami on Sunday using the direct flight AA 275 which lands 10 minutes away from our front desk. Unless you stay with us from Sunday to Sunday you will have to return home thru Santo Domingo which is an hour transfer from the resort. You can also fly from Miami to San Juan Puerto Rico on AA and San Juan to La Romana on AE. Spirit Airlines flies from Fort Lauderdale to Santo Domingo Airport direct. We strongly suggest you make your reservations early because the seats are booked very quickly. If you have any questions concerning the tournament or transportation, do not hesitate to call me at 888-212-5073 which is toll free or at 809-523-8115 / 8215, or Email me at gillesgagnoncdc@mac.com. I will be happy to hear from you and answer any questions you may have. Sincerely yours,
